VELAS II is built with original German-made diode modules from DILAS (Coherent), delivering exceptional durability, stable performance, and long operational life. Many clinical users have operated VELAS systems for over 15 years with minimal maintenance, making VELAS II one of the most dependable long-term investments for any medical practice.
VELAS II was one of the first diode laser systems to achieve a true 60W continuous-wave (CW) output, launched in collaboration with USAlaser in 2008.
Unlike many manufacturers who promote “100W” or “150W” based on peak pulsed power, VELAS II delivers a genuine 60W average output, ensuring:
Consistent and predictable tissue interaction
Repeatable clinical outcomes
High power density for therapeutic, surgical, and regenerative applications
Stable and uniform energy delivery
VELAS II offers multiple wavelength options, including 670nm, 810nm, 980nm, and 1064nm, to support a wide range of clinical applications. This comprehensive wavelength range effectively addresses treatment needs from superficial tissue repair to deep tissue therapy.
The 670nm red-light wavelength primarily interacts with superficial tissue layers. It supports cellular activation and tissue regeneration, helping to create favorable conditions for wound healing and scar modulation.
Through its photobiomodulation effects, 670 nm laser energy assists in regulating superficial inflammation and promoting healthy tissue repair, making it particularly suitable for skin and surface-level tissue recovery.
The 810nm wavelength is one of the most extensively studied wavelengths in photobiomodulation. It is efficiently absorbed by cytochrome-c oxidase in mitochondria, leading to enhanced cellular respiration and increased ATP production.
By improving cellular energy metabolism and microcirculation, 810 nm laser therapy supports the regeneration of muscle tissue, connective tissue, collagen, bone, and other soft tissues. These effects contribute to faster cellular recovery, improved tissue repair, and overall enhancement of the healing process.
The 980nm wavelength demonstrates strong absorption by water within biological tissues, enabling effective and controlled thermal interaction. This characteristic supports the reduction of inflammatory processes, which in turn contributes to pain relief and accelerated wound healing.
By improving local microcirculation and tissue perfusion, 980 nm laser energy enhances the physiological environment required for cellular repair and regeneration. Its balanced photothermal and photobiomodulation effects make the 980nm wavelength highly versatile for a wide range of therapeutic and surgical applications.
The 1064nm wavelength offers deeper tissue penetration than 810nm, 915nm, or 980nm wavelengths, allowing laser energy to reach dense and deep anatomical structures more effectively. This deeper penetration enables stimulation of metabolic and regenerative processes in muscles, joints, and connective tissues.
With reduced superficial absorption and consistent energy delivery across different skin types, the 1064nm wavelength is especially well suited for deep tissue therapy. It supports mitochondrial activation and cellular recovery, making it an essential wavelength for applications requiring depth, stability, and uniform tissue response.
